Double miles could put you at 30k miles or above. Cathay’s release touts that  “just one roundtrip flight will put you at over 30,000 miles – enough to redeem a side trip to Bangkok, Singapore or even Bali on your next vacation!” . Whether you’ll find good availability depends on when and where you want to travel on your “side trip” but we think this is a post-worthy deal.
