It’s the modhop Monday ”live” coverage of our quick hop to Germany, lovingly referred to as “Ger-modhop”. We got an oddball airberlin A330-200 configuration so our seat was a little different than the norm. We also had our Lufthansa Cityline flight cancelled and took more trains than expected. Sunday Night/Monday- 20 January 2013: Air Berlin A330-200- This is one of just 1 or 2 airberlin A330-200′s that are configured this way. Row 29 is the exit on this one and we’re on the aisle in 29B.

Monday -21 January 2013: Deutche Bahn. We hop a DB ICE Train in both the quiet and normal cabins of first class.

Tuesday 22 January 2013 – : Back aboard Air Berlin for an all economy nap aboard another A330-200. This is one of the more typical configurations with touch-screen personal TVs in both classes. I’m in an “XL” exit row seat with tons of legroom.
