Living/Work area inside a king suite at Delano Las Vegas.

The Room: Venturing out of our NYC shell adjusting to normal sized rooms in other US cities is tough work. Too often we’re overly impressed with square footage so we certainly had to fix our expectations for this one. Although on the narrow side, you get a really good amount of space for a basic room here at Delano Las Vegas.

The suite is broken into two main rooms, a bedroom and a living/work area. The living area is a bit smaller but should comfortably fit 4-5 people for pre-gaming before a night out on the strip. The bedroom? A proper landing pad for when the fun is over. Your king-sized bed is plenty for two post-bender pals…perfect for one.

Malin + Goetz amenities galore. Take some home!

Washroom: The deep soaker tub is big enough for all your winnings OR a spa-like bath. You’ll also get 2 sinks, a separate stand-up shower and private commode. If that’s not enough, there’s a half-washroom near the entrance.

Amenities: You’ll find enough Malin + Goetz product here to keep your own bathroom stocked for awhile. Among commonly found airline/hotel amenities, these are some of our faves.

Minibar: There’s no casino inside Delano Las Vegas but if you’ve been winning at the connected Mandalay Bay Casino then you might spring for the large (by minibar standards) bottle of Patron. If tequila makes you a bad person, then it’s a minimum $10 for the tiny-bottles of other booze.

Service: A special event displaced the front desk to a small, remote part of the hotel’s main floor which was confusing and left us waiting for a little longer than we’d like. Checking out was a MUCH better experience. At the real front desk the extremely helpful agent was cheerful, made good conversation and got us checked into our NEXT night at the connected Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino.

Wi-fi/Connectivity: Some give wi-fi speeds at Delano Las Vegas low marks. Our experience was a little better. Things get a little spotty the further into the room but in the living/work area we got average speeds, good enough for light YouTubing and surfing.

Overall: If you don’t get shuffled off to a remote front desk (It’s not likely you will), then Delano Las Vegas might be a good spot for you. It’s not in the very center of the strip but Vegas-haters like me think that’s great. Rooms are well-appointed and provide fantastic space for both business and shenanigans.

How’d we book? Using Delano Las Vegas website we booked at a grand opening rate. Keep an eye out for promo codes and special offers.
