In mid-2012 not long after Cathay Pacific had introduced this Premiun Economy cabins aboard their 777-300 aircraft, the airline led us on an exclusive “Close-up” during a relatively long turnaround at JFK. A couple years later, we board to sample the full product.

Look for our full video review, coming soon. Until then we highlight some of the features in Cathay Pacific Premium Economy in this gallery.

It’s a nice step up from typical economy imho. If you get to try it, let us know how it goes!

I upgraded to biz from PE and on the 340 and 747 the biz was old, narrow and dirty coffin like. I was so shocked that seats were so poor.
Maybe I should have stuck with my PE seat?
I will avoid CX J class on 340 and 747 from now on. Dreadful.

We’re flying first CX on the 747 next month so I’ll have to take a peek back at biz. We got a quick close-up of business class on this 777-300 that we’ll feature in an upcoming segment.

777 biz class in the new wonderful seats. 340 and 747 were dirty and sad older coffins. I would not use miles again to UG and stay in PE.
